2014 will be WCL's 24th year as one of the country's premier lacrosse teaching camps. We host boys ages 7-16, and you can elect to be a resident or day camper. Players are grouped by age and ability. In addition to the personalized, cutting-edge instruction, there are social activities such as nightly pizza, raffles, and contests. There also is a fully stocked camp store for all your lacrosse needs.
World Class Lacrosse has a great curriculum for all campers, regardless of their level of play. The WCL staff will provide a safe and fun learning environment. The ratio of campers to staff is 7:1. There will be individual/group instruction as well as theory and team play. We will have on-going team and individual competitions throughout the sessions. All campers will receive a detailed written evaluation of their skill level and what they need to do to constantly improve their game. At our closing ceremonies we will announce some special awards, as well as the players named to the WCL All-Star Team. Click here for our Daily Camp Schedule.
World Class Lacrosse continues to be a camp pioneer with our exclusive 15 Minutes of Fame for every player that attends our overnight camps. In addition to the excellent instruction everyone receives at World Class Lacrosse Camps, each camper will have the opportunity to be taught privately in a one on one environment by one of our World Class Lacrosse professionals. This will be your '15 minutes of fame'. You and only you will be have your coach's 100% attention for a private lesson of your choice. You can fine tune your face-off or draw, your question mark, rocker step, stick protection, shooting skills, dodging, checking, stick tricks, you name it....we're all yours!
The WCL Goalie Camp at Wesleyan will provide an individualized training program for aspiring goalies. Goalie and field player instruction are happening during the same sessions which provide a perfect opportunity for goalies to be integrated into team and game situations. Individual concepts included are: footwork, hand-eye coordination, reaction time, stick work, angles, and movement in and out of the goal. Goalies are the field generals and they will be versed in communication, directing the "D", clearing, and full field play. These concepts in addition to mental and focusing exercises will increase the performance for all goalies.
