Q: Why does registration for a Spring sport begin in the Fall?
A: While it seems early, there are a number of items that must be completed by  the end of January. VLA is required to notify CVYL & CVGYL exactly how many teams we will have so that they are included on the league schedules. VLA needs to register teams in tournaments and coordinate with the town for practice and game field time. Equipment and uniform purchases need to be made prior to the season and we need league numbers to determine what we order. VLA needs to gauge the number of coaches and assistant coaches that are needed.

Q:  What is the deadline for registration?
A:  Registration deadline dates vary by team. Check info on registration page for registration closing date.

Q:  Is there a late fee for registrations?
A:
Yes, there is a $15.00 late fee for registrations received after 1/31 in the Bantam, JR. and SR. programs.

Q: Can I rent boys lacrosse equipment?
A: VLA has a limited number of equipment packages available for rent on a first-come first-served basis for Bantam players.  The packages cost $50/season and contain shoulder pads, arm pads and gloves.

Q: Can I rent girls lacrosse equipment?
A:
VLA does not rent equipment for girls lacrosse. (Only equipment required is a stick, goggles and a mouth guard)

Q: What is VLA's Refund policy?
A: VLA will refund your complete VLA registration if cancelled by 3/1
($25 US Lacrosse Registration Fee is non-refundable). VLA will refund your VLA registration less a $25.00 cancelation fee if you cancel between 3/1 and 3/31($25 US Lacrosse Registration Fee is non-refundable).  After the season has begun, no refunds will be made.

Q: How do parents keep abreast of what's going on?
A: Check
http://www.vernonlacrosse.org  on a regular basis. When registering, make sure you provide your e-mail address and cell phone number to receive notices about the various team and league activities.

Q: Is there a mandatory fundraiser?
A:
Fundraiers will be a big part of Vernon Lacrosse's success this season. We were able to lower registration cost due to the fact we'll be relying on it more this year. All families are encouraged to participate in our upcoming fundraisers. More information to come on these.

Q: Can I volunteer?
A: Vernon Lacrosse relies on volunteers to coach, manage teams and coordinate all aspects of the program.  We welcome your input and time to make the program fun, challenging, and rewarding for the players.
